Some of My Writings
Version: July 9, 2004
This particular corner-armchair philosopher happens to be rather fond of writing. It is in writing that I find my greatest pleasure in expressing myself in words at all: in the written word, I get the chance to work on my thoughts as would a first-rate artisan on the page illuminations, the shoe that's getting made, the fine metal piece, the lovely stained-glass window radiating thousands of colors to everyone within sight.
When I write, I have the chance to give words my best attention -- an intense effort to be both creative and truly expressive of the thoughts, feelings, and spiritual movings that have driven me into the investigation of my own philosophy in the first place! Along the way, like an artist, I have the chance to try to create something of beauty as well. Thus I share my own thoughts first with myself, and then with everyone else who might be interested.
Here then is a sampling of what I have written that expresses something of my ideals and my philosophy:
Short Stories
Novels
I think that fiction is a splendid vehicle in which to shoot philosophy. I've had a lot of fun writing (and then reading, and then sharing) my first two novels. They're actually in-depth looks at the art of being a human, from a philosophical viewpoint, thinly disguised as science fiction.
